Is there financial support available for home support services?
Yes, the system provides credits for home support services. Registered providers can receive credits for each individual they support, with specific amounts credited quarterly. These credits include a base provider amount and any applicable provider-based supplements.
How many home support places are being allocated?
The government is committed to allocating a guaranteed number of places by December 31, 2025, plus at least an additional 43,000 places for home support services by June 30, 2026.
How is the allocation of support places determined?
The Minister must determine in writing a method for working out the number of places available for allocation. This includes specifying how many places are available for each service group and particular classification types.
